Steps to Joining

Auditions will be held in person at Parkway Southwest Middle School on Sunday, August 30, from 9:00 AM–6:00 PM, with one meal break during the day.

All participants will learn a dance phrase and an ensemble flag phrase. Those interested in auditioning on weapon will also learn a rifle phrase and a saber phrase, pending interest. Eloria will not provide weapons for auditions, so anyone interested in auditioning on rifle or saber must bring their own equipment. Participants will be evaluated on their ability to handle the choreography, as well as their technique, attitude, approach, adaptability, and overall presence throughout the day.

To participate, all auditionees must complete the required liability forms, submit all necessary paperwork, and pay the $30 audition fee prior to auditions. Auditionees should wear form-fitting clothing, keep hair pulled away from the face, and wear appropriate shoes and/or knee pads.

If you are unable to attend the in-person audition, you may still audition virtually and be invited back for callbacks to solidify your spot. To arrange a virtual audition, please email the directors at eloriaindependent@gmail.com.

Please know that being unable to attend the in-person audition does not automatically remove you from consideration. We encourage you to take a chance and begin the process.

Frequently Asked Questions

What does membership include?

Membership dues cover the core expenses associated with the season, including rehearsal facilities, instructional staff, performance opportunities, contest entry fees, hotel accommodations for overnight events, and member uniforms. Most importantly, membership provides access to a high-quality educational experience designed to challenge and develop performers throughout the season.

Are there additional fees?

There are no required fees beyond your membership dues. However members may choose to purchase optional items such as show shirts, additional team apparel, personal equipment (rifles, sabers, gloves), performance makeup and/or accessories. These items are not included in membership dues and are completely optional unless otherwise communicated.

Do you offer payment plans?

Yes. Membership dues are typically divided into equal monthly payments throughout the season to make participation more manageable for families. If additional flexibility is needed, individualized payment arrangements may be considered on a case-by-case basis. We are committed to working with members to help make participation possible whenever feasible.

Is financial aid available?

Yes. Eloria is committed to making participation as accessible as possible. Limited scholarship and financial assistance opportunities may be available throughout the season through fundraising initiatives, educational programming, a performer scholarship, and community support. Additional information regarding scholarship applications and eligibility will be provided to members following auditions.
